Sydney
When in Australia, a stop in Sydney – the country’s largest city – is an absolute must on your tour.
Sydney is built up around the world’s largest natural harbour, and with its waterside location, surrounded by green national park, it is also one of the world’s most scenically located cities.
You get it all here: History and culture, a fabulous culinary scene, architecture, beaches and not least sights such as Sydney Harbour and the Opera House, the Blue Mountains and the cosy suburbs.
Uluru
You might have heard of Ayers Rock, but today this famous sight and trademark goes by its original name: Uluru.
One of the world’s largest monoliths, Uluru rises up out of the desolate desert in the heart of Australia. Not only can it feel overwhelming to stand in the middle of nowhere, but it is also a completely magical experience to see how the colours change at sunset from rust red to orange and later to grey and then completely black, the further the sun goes down. And with the sun gone for the day, you are left with the most beautiful starry sky, unpolluted by the light from the cities.
The Great Barrier Reef
You will find many “biggests” in Australia, and the Great Barrier Reef is no exception.
Off the north-east coast of Australia, you’ll find the world’s biggest coral reef. The coral reef is a UNESCO world heritage site, and once you’ve snorkelled among the beautiful corals, turtles and colourful fish, you’ll understand why.
You’ll experience the coral reef right up close, kitted out with snorkelling or scuba diving gear – an unforgettable experience.

Australia is vast and offers a massive array of exciting highlights. On our tours, you can also experience:
- Melbourne in the south is Australia’s second-largest city and Sydney’s slightly more chilled and cultural little brother. Explore the city’s hidden streets and laneways, enjoy the unique culinary scene and excellent shopping or head to Great Ocean Road, reputed to be the most beautiful stretch of coastline in the world.
- On Australia’s east coast, north of Sydney, you’ll find lovely Brisbane, Australia’s third largest city. It’s a delightful city, oozing with charm, albeit a little quieter than the country’s two larger cities. Explore the city or take a trip to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, for example, where you get right up close to the Australian wildlife.
- Unique national parks await you in Northern Territory, including the UNESCO-protected Kakadu National Park. It is one of the country’s biggest – and perhaps the most beautiful – national parks, offering a treasure trove of exciting nature, wildlife and cultural experiences with 35,000-year-old cave paintings.
