Cooking school in Yangshuo

Today, you will learn how to make real Chinese country dishes together with skilled local chefs.

You will be picked up from the hotel and driven to the cooking school, which is located in a traditional Chinese farmhouse in the heart of Yangshuo’s scenic landscape.

The cuisine in this area is known to be simple but delicious, and all the ingredients come from the local area.

You will be given a brief introduction to Chinese cooking, touching on everything from spices to the cutting of meat and vegetables. It all takes place in a cosy and helpful atmosphere.

After the introduction, it’s your turn. Each participant is designated his or her own area, and the chef demonstrates what you have to do. The cooking school rounds off with the lunch that you have made yourself. You will also be given the recipes so you can try them out in your own kitchen at home.

You will be driven back to the hotel in the afternoon.

This excursion is also open to guests other than TourCompass’ own guests.
