Hotel Rajarata

Hotel Rajarata is a short drive from Anuradhapura’s numerous historic temples and within walking distance of the serene Nuwara Wewa Lake, where you may be lucky enough to meet local fishermen who are keen to chat.

The hotel has 50 bright and spacious rooms, all simply appointed with classic, dark wooden furniture. All rooms have air conditioning, a TV, a telephone, bottled mineral water, Wi-Fi and a bathroom with a shower, toiletries and a hair dryer. In the morning, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea on the balcony.

In the hotel garden, there is a swimming pool with integrated children’s pool and sun loungers where you can relax and enjoy the sun after a day of adventures.

The hotel’s Tranquil restaurant is open in the morning, for lunch and in the evening, when a wide selection of Sri Lankan and Western dishes is served. The hotel also has a lounge where you can enjoy delicious cakes and specially brewed coffee and tea in the afternoon.
