Take a boat ride on a section of the 100-km network of canals, built by the Dutch right back in the 17th century. The canals are still used to transport goods and people to this day, and show a completely different side of Negombo. In many places along the canals, you will see old churches and other buildings from both the Dutch and the Portuguese era on the island, and you will often see a lot of birds on the trip.
Duration: Approx. 2 hours
