Cycling tour – rural Hué and lunch with nuns
Today you are experiencing the rural Hué from the seat of a bicycle. You are picked up at your hotel in the morning. Your guide will bring the bicycles, and after some instructions and bicycle adjustment, the tour takes you into the country at a relaxing pace. On the tour, you pass emerald-green fields and countless water buffalo before reaching the Thanh Toan bridge.
This beautiful wooden bridge was built in the 18th century and has truly stood the test of time. Do as the locals do and find comfort in simply sitting in these lovely surroundings, enjoying the passage of time.
From here, the cycling tour goes on to the Tu Hieu pagoda temple, with a quick stop at a local museum for a look into the history of the area. On arrival at the Tu Hieu pagoda temple, you can hear the monks go to perform their services.
After some exploring in the temple grounds, you are invited inside by the nuns, with whom you will share a vegetarian lunch. After the lunch and an exciting morning, you cycle back to your hotel.
